Fortunately Poem
Fortunately it is my 9th birthday
Unfortunately it’s raining cats and dogs outside
Fortunately I got lots of wonderful presents that I wanted
Unfortunately two of my favorite presents broke
Fortunately I got delicious cake and ice cream
Unfortunately the cake didn’t say Happy Birthday Grace
Fortunately I got to go swimming after it stopped raining
Unfortunately it started raining again, but I was okay with that
Fortunately I got to have my favorite ice cream for lunch
Unfortunately my ice cream spilled on the floor and made a big mess
Fortunately my parents threw a surprise birthday party for me on that day
Unfortunately some of my friends didn’t bring presents for me
Fortunately they got me gift cards to my favorite store at Fashion Island
Unfortunately my sister cut the cards in half with scissors
Fortunately when I took it to the store they could still read the numbers on the card
Unfortunately the day was almost over
Fortunately it was the best birthday I ever had
